Charlie Law is a compassionate counsellor who is passionate about supporting people through life’s challenges with empathy, understanding, and care. Charlie believes that everyone deserves a safe, welcoming space where they can feel heard, supported, and free to explore what’s going on in their lives without judgment. Charlie works with individuals experiencing anxiety, stress, relationship challenges, life transitions, and personal growth concerns. Charlie also has a special interest in supporting student-athletes, recognizing the unique pressures that can come with balancing academics, performance expectations, identity, and life outside of sport. Charlie helps athletes navigate challenges such as performance anxiety, burnout, injury recovery, motivation, and transitions in and out of sport.
Charlie’s approach is collaborative and client-centered, focusing on building trust and working together to understand each person’s experiences and strengths. Through thoughtful conversation and practical strategies, Charlie supports clients in developing healthier coping skills, building resilience, and gaining greater self-awareness.
Charlie believes that meaningful change often begins with simply feeling understood. Whether someone is facing a difficult season of life or looking for support in growing and moving forward, Charlie is committed to walking alongside clients with warmth, curiosity, and genuine care. Charlie holds a BA in Communications from SFU, as well as BSW and MSW from UBC. Charlie is an expert in child and adolescent development.
He is Gordon Neufeld Level 2 trained and has 25 plus years of parent consultation experience. He is also trained in Gottman Couples Therapy and provides Critical Incident Services as well as Supervisory support for young therapists.
Charlie loves animals and nature, and in his spare time likes hiking, listening to music and cooking, coaching youth sports, and golfing.
