Supporting you through the messy, the meaningful, and everything in between—sometimes with a laugh along the way.
Hi, I’m a registered social worker with over 30 years of experience supporting people—and I still truly love what I do.
I see counselling as a way to take care of yourself and your well-being. Life can be messy, complicated, and at times overwhelming. Having someone in your corner to listen, reflect, and help you sort things through can make a real difference.
I aim to meet people where they are, with curiosity, respect, and a sense of ease. Very little surprises me, and I’m comfortable having difficult conversations. I believe each of us is the expert in our own life. While I haven’t walked your exact path, I’m here to walk alongside you as you figure things out in your own way.
I’m skilled in supporting people through life transitions—whether planned or unexpected—and I bring a compassionate, grounded approach to times of change. Much of my work focuses on grief, which can come from many kinds of loss, including the death of a loved one, relationship changes, health challenges, or other major life shifts.
On a personal note, I’m a mom to two great adult children and have been married to my husband for over 30 years—we still like each other, which I think says a lot. I love being outdoors and feel so grateful for all the beauty that Vernon has to offer. I truly believe that alongside doing the hard work, it’s just as important to make room for joy, laughter, and a little bit of play.
